Global Capability Centers in India
The current landscape and outlook to 2030

By 2030, 70% of Fortune 500 companies will have expanded to India. Such an impressive feat would not only cement its global lead in technology centers, but underline expectations of India becoming the 3rd largest economy by then.
India's economy is poised to become one of the largest worldwide, and its Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are powering global innovation and business transformation.
In a recent CNBC TV18 interview, Karthik Padmanabhan, Managing Partner at Zinnov, shared key insights from the latest India GCC Landscape Report by Zinnov and nasscom that highlight the growing importance of India for global businesses:
Current Landscape:
▶ 1,700 GCCs operating in India
▶ 1.9 million professionals employed in GCCs
▶ 17% of global technology centers located in India
▶ 23% of global software engineering talent based in India
2030 Outlook:
▶ 70% of Fortune 500 companies expected to expand their presence in India
▶ Projected growth to 2,100-2,200 GCCs
▶ Workforce expansion to 2.5-2.8 million professionals
India's GCC ecosystem is experiencing remarkable growth, cementing its position as a global hub for technology and innovation. With a significant portion of the world's tech talent and an increasing number of companies recognizing India's potential, I believe the country's clear momentum will continue.
